Using a Racelogic VBOX HD2 for Tyre Testing
We have posted many Blogs in the past, showing videos and images from our Racelogic VBOX HD2, but figured it would be a good idea to explain how we use the system in pursuit of faster lap times.Other than changing the driver (which can make a huge difference!), another important factor is the Tyre choice.

Rockingham ISSC - 30th September 2018 - MSV Trackday Trophy Race
Round 6 of the MSV Trackday Trophy on Sunday 30th September 2018 in our Ibiza took us to Rockingham in Corby, Northamptonshire

Rockingham ISSC - 28th September 2018 - MSV Trackday Trophy Testing
With the success of Round 5 of the MSV Trackday Championship a distant memory, and us ineligible to enter Round 6 as it requires an MSA National A licence (we are still a couple away from the 6 signatures to upgrade our B to an A), we decided to enter the Rockingham round of the MSV Trackday Trophy instead.
The rules are pretty much the same as the TDC, so our Ibiza was in Class B again. The main difference are the allowed Tyres. The TDC requires everyone to be on the same Toyo R888R GG Compoun

Brands Hatch GP - 18th August 2018 - Round 5 - MSV Trackday Championship
After
Round 3 and the MSV Extra Race at Silverstone back in June, we missed Round 4 at Oulton Park due to a clash of calendars (with the Goodwood Festival of Speed - a must for any petrol or diesel head!), which meant our next race was Round 5 at the fast and flowing Brands Hatch GP Circuit.
The format was changed slightly for this race from the norm, with Classes S and A being mixed in with our Class B and the C & Ds due to the increased circuit limit and packed schedule.

Silverstone National - 24th June 2018 - Extra Race - MSV Trackday Championship
On the same weekend as Round 3 of the MSV Trackday Championship (which you can read about
here) a special event was scheduled for the Sunday Afternoon. It was a race, combining all entrants from the MSV Trackday Championship that we are in, with all classes mixed together, as well as Class B, C and D from the MSV Trackday Trophy - http://www.trackdaytrophy.co.uk/

Silverstone National - 23rd June 2018 - Round 3 - MSV Trackday Championship
After an eventful first time racing in the Ibiza at Donington 15th April 2018, which you can read about here, we missed the 2nd round of the MSV Trackday Championship at Snetterton so we could improve the car as planned, and rejoined the action at Silverstone.

Donington Park - 15th April 2018 - Round 1 - MSV Trackday Championship
Our first ever race since acquiring a National B Licence took place on the 15th of April in our
Red (and a bit black) TDi Ibiza
We decided to enter the MSV TDC as the rules are fairly relaxed and a diesel car can still give the petrol cars a run for their money. It also works well for 2 driver teams, as it is a 45 minute race with a mandatory 2 minute pit stop, which allows for a driver change.
