Shipping
We endeavour to dispatch all items within 1 working day of ordering.
For stocked items, our cut off times for same day dispatch are as follows:
- Royal Mail - 2:30pm (Mon-Fri)
- DPD - 2:30pm (Mon-Fri)
- DHL - 3:30pm (Mon-Fri)
- UPS - 1:00pm (Mon-Fri)
Orders placed with DHL between 3:30pm - 5:00pm may still be dispatched same day, depending on our current order back log.
Orders placed with UPS between 1:00pm - 5:00pm may still be dispatched same day, depending on our current order back log.
Other than services that specify, orders will not be delivered over bank holidays and weekends.
We will not be held liable for any shipping costs, labour charges or consequential losses incurred due to delayed items. If an item is urgent, please contact us before placing the order to check stock and dispatch time.

We are export specialists, so can assist in shipping items anywhere in the world. There are restrictions on some products to specific locations, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations at all. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that any item purchased can be legally imported into that country. When you place an order, our shopping cart system will estimate shipping costs based on the weight (or volumetric weight for overseas shipping) of the item and your location. As this is not a comprehensive system, we reserve the right to request further payment if the quoted postage costs do not meet the actual costs. As well as this, if you find that a quoted shipping cost is excessive, please feel free to contact us before completing your purchase for an accurate quote.
The Shipping and Taxes estimate DOES NOT include any Import Tax, VAT or Duties you may be liable to pay upon import into your country. It is the buyers responsibility to pay these charges upon import and to adequately research such charges BEFORE purchasing any items. If import duties are not paid, the item may be returned back to us. The initial shipping costs and any extra charges we incur as a result of this will be deducted from any refund made to you. Before emailing for a shipping quotation, please add the item to your cart, click 'Estimate Shipping & Tax' under the Subtotal, input your address details and click 'Estimate Shipping & Tax'. This will give you your shipping options.

Payments
All customers must pay for their parts / invoices in full prior to removing property or vehicles from our premises, It is our right to withhold keys until payment is made in full.
We do not offer credit terms under any circumstances.
All goods remain the property of Darkside Developments until paid for in full.

Contract
By placing an order you are offering to purchase products on and subject to these terms and conditions. Darkside Developments reserves the right to refuse any such offer made by you. When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not constitute acceptance of your offer. A contract between you and us will not be formed until we accept your offer by sending you confirmation by email that the goods which you ordered have been dispatched to you. Only those goods listed in the confirmation e-mail sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.
In order to contract with Darkside Developments you must you must pay for goods before we dispatch them.
When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card or PayPal account used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods.
If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. This might be because the product is out of stock, because of unexpected limits on our resources which we could not reasonably plan for, because we have identified an error in the price or description of the product or because we are unable to meet a delivery deadline you have specified. In such a case we will not charge you for the product.
Pricing, Availability and Changes
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. Delivery costs will be charged in addition (see 'Shipping' below); such additional charges are clearly displayed on our website and included in the 'Total Cost'.
Whilst we take reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this Website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund (see below for our Returns policy).
The images of the products and/or their packaging shown on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that a device's display of the colours accurately reflects the colour of the products. Your product and/or its packaging may vary slightly from those images.
If you wish to make a change to the products you have ordered please contact us. We will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible we will let you know about any changes to the price of the products, the timing of supply or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change.
We may change a product (for example, to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements, or to implement minor technical adjustments and improvements). These changes will not affect your use of the product.
We reserve the right to request a deposit at the time of booking an appointment in our workshop, for tuning or for special order parts. This deposit is non-refundable unless we cancel your appointment or order.
If you do not or cannot attend an appointment, please do not ask us to refund the deposit paid. In some circumstances we may allow you to change your appointment to a more suitable date, but will require a minimum of 2 weeks notice to do this.
This deposit is to secure an arranged date in our diary and is NOT a deposit for the work to be carried out.
Returns
Please read the below terms and conditions before opening a returns request. To open a returns request please follow the steps in this link - https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/how-to-open-a-return/ We hope you will be delighted with your product purchased online from www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk, however we understand that sometimes you may wish to return your product. Please find below details of our returns policy:
- To return a product you must notify us within 14 days of receiving it, this can be done by simply logging into your account, view the order using the Complete Orders link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. After notifying us, you will have a further 14 days to return the goods. If you request a return after 14 days of you receiving the order, or we receive the goods back outside of the following 14 days of you notifying us, we reserve the right to refuse the return OR charge up to a 20% restocking fee to cover card fees, time and packing costs.
- If you are returning an item that as been delivered within the chosen shipping method timescales, the maximum refund on shipping is equal to our cheapest available service. Extra costs for all express and premium shipping options will not be refunded. If you paid extra for goods to be delivered at a certain time and they arrived later than this (check our shipping terms above for service timescales), the maximum refund on shipping is equal to the cost of the express/dedicated delivery you chose at the time of ordering.
- Custom made or special order items can only be returned for a full refund if faulty / misdescribed. If they are returned for any other reason, we reserve the right to decline the return or if accepted, they may be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Orders placed by customers with 'Trade' or 'Dealer' discounts applied to their accounts are not governed by distance selling regulations. Consequently, we reserve the right to refuse returns or to provide refunds exclusively in the form of store credit.
- Any kit ordered with coloured silicones (anything other than black), products not listed on our website and items personalised as requested by the customer are considered 'custom made' and therefore cannot be returned under the distance selling regulations.
- Regardless of the return reason, the buyer is responsible for return postage. On unwanted items, the buyer is also responsible for the initial postage cost. If postage costs are agreed to be covered by Darkside Developments the maximum value paid will be equal to the initial shipping cost on the order.
- It is recommend that you return the items in the original packaging, as you will need to make sure it is packaged in a way that means it doesn't get damaged. If an item is damaged during its return due to careless or unsatisfactory packaging, we reserve the right to charge or reduce your refund if the value of the item has been reduced. If the item is damaged beyond repair or unusable, this charge could be up to the full value of the item(s) that are damaged.
- Most electrical items will be sent with a security seal on the packing, if this seal is broken we reserve the right to decline the return.
- Any products modified or altered after delivery also cannot be returned under the distance selling regulations.
- We will notify you via email of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. Unwanted items must be unused and in the condition they were sent. We may also charge a restocking fee. This is to prevent customers from ordering parts 'just in case' they need them. If products are not unused or in good condition, we reserve the right to withhold all or part of the refund payment. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- Upon receipt of the product we will check the content to ensure all parts have been returned and if so, we will authorise a credit to the account used to make the purchase. We aim to credit your account within 10 days of the product return.
- Where a part is missing we will contact you and advise of the charge for any missing element. We will then credit your account minus the charge. You may return the missing part however the cost of postage will be at your expense.
- If the product has been misused or not assembled in the proper manner, we reserve the right to withhold all or part of the refund payment. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- Over-the-Counter Purchases: Please note that items purchased over the counter at our physical location are not subject to the same distance selling regulations applicable to online purchases. Consequently, we are not legally required to offer a refund for such items if the customer;
Your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations are not affected by this returns policy.
One some products, such as Injectors or Turbochargers, we may retain a 'Core Charge', which is refunded on the return of your old item. In all cases, the part must be in a serviceable condition. For Turbochargers, this means the housings must not be damaged beyond repair. For Injectors, the bodies must be able to be reused with only minor replacement parts required. Specifically for PD injectors, we will only refund the Core Charge if the injectors either pass the test, or fail due to nozzle issues. If the bodies fail, the core charge will not be refunded, and the test fee of £35 + VAT and Shipping would need to be paid if the Injectors are to be returned to you.
If you receive a part that is incorrect, faulty or not fit for purpose, we reserve the right to take a deposit payment (up to the full value of the item) prior to sending out any replacement parts. The deposit will be refunded in full upon return of the incorrect, faulty or not fit for purpose part, unless the item needs to be returned to the manufacturer for a warranty inspection / report.
Alternatively the incorrect, faulty or not fit for purpose part can be collected by our courier. Failed collections will be charged at £10 + VAT.
Darkside Developments will not be liable for any consequential losses due to any faulty or incorrect parts received.
All Genuine and OEM Parts carry a minimum of 1 Year Warranty (2 Years in some cases) when fitted in a standard car. With most manufacturers, any performance enhancing modifications will void the warranty on those parts.
For any aftermarket / upgrade parts the warranty lies with the manufacturer and in most cases there is no warranty other than for manufacturing defects.
In all warranty cases, the manufacturer and Darkside Developments are not liable for any labour cost claims or consequential losses as a result of a failure of any part.
In the event of a warranty claim, we will require the item to inspect or to send to the manufacturer to follow their claims procedure. If you require a replacement item to ensure your vehicle is not off the road for a prolonged period, we reserve the right to charge for the replacement item. Upon a successful claim, this charge would be refunded. If the claim is not upheld, we will return your items to you in the condition they were sent and no refund will be made.
If it is possible to claim Labour costs from the manufacturer, the maximum paid is £30 + VAT per hour at book time (Auto - Data)
Please Note: All Dual Mass Flywheels have no warranty when fitted to modified vehicles. This includes kits fitted with the Sachs Race Clutch Kits.
Exclusions
Damage caused by your failure to take all reasonable steps to prevent mechanical damage from occurring, for example, taking appropriate action in the event of warning lights appearing.
Damage or defects caused by not having the vehicle serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's / Darkside Developments recommendations.
Damage or defects caused by improper use of the vehicle, Accident damage, neglect, or use of the vehicle for motorsport activities.
Workshop / Tuning
We retain the right to refuse any work if vehicles are not in a road worthy condition. E.g. Bald Tyres, Expired Road Tax etc. with the loss of any deposits paid.
Cars that are not in a fit state for tuning work will also be refused, it is expected that a car is in perfect health before any power increase. Any deposit will be lost in this instance.
Customers should notify Darkside Developments prior to the booking date if there are concerns regarding the cars health, we can then have the correct staff and parts ready to repair prior to working on the vehicle.
All vehicles booked in for tuning jobs need to be with us 8:00am. We also request that the customer waits on site until we have done all our checks before they go (Up to 1 Hour). This is to save inconvenience and additional travel if we deem the vehicle to be un-tuneable or refuse to work on it.
Customers that have not arrived on time must accept that collection of the vehicle may be delayed, and must have arrangements in place for return transportation if this goes beyond our normal working hours.
Vehicles that have already being tuned by another company with software security may have an additional charge of £100 + VAT to cover the cost of the extra work involved for us to be able to flash the ECU. ¬Revo being the main company that restricts access to the ECU memory.
A complete specification / modifications list should be sent in advance including any preference, such as smoke levels, rev limits etc.
Any additional work outside of the agreed specification will be notified to the customer prior to any extra charges being made.
Work not included as part of the initial booking may incur extra charges, and will only be started providing we have enough time to complete the job without affecting other appointments in the diary.
Smoke tolerance has the greatest effect on power level, the less smoke you consider acceptable, the less power potentially the car will make.
Customers who would like to wait with their car must stay in the designated customer area and not cross into the workshop areas due to insurance liability and injury risk. By signing this agreement you agree that injury risk on our premises is entirely yours.
The same applies to vehicles on the Dyno. Customers must not enter the Dyno Cell. Failure to adhere to this could result in the vehicle being removed from the workshop or Dyno and any work cancelled, with loss of any deposit paid.
Customers must inform us of any previous work carried out on the vehicle that they are aware of that might affect the job we are undertaking
Customers should notify Darkside Developments of any recording equipment fitted in vehicle (i.e Dash Cameras, Go Pro's, etc). These MUST be switched off for the full amount of time the vehicle is in our possession. Darkside Developments retain the right to refuse to perform any work if this has not been done.
If you have a Black Box fitted for insurance purposes, it is your responsibility to notify the Insurance company BEFORE the vehicle is handed over to us that you will not be driving it during this time. We will not engage in any conversations with insurers to prove you were not in the vehicle retrospectively.
If customers do not wish for us to share photos of their vehicle (with or without registration showing) on our social media pages they must request this. Darkside Developments will not be held liable for any issues caused by posting any photos.
Customers may be asked to take the vehicle out for a test drive with one of our mechanics or tuners before leaving. Any concerns should be made at this point if possible.
Customers are advised to take an extended test drive in the local area before setting off home; with arrangements in place for return transport should problems occur with the vehicle.
Recovery and Breakdown cover must be held by the customer and the level of cover must allow recovery to our workshop, not just a local garage.
We do not offer a mobile workshop service, nor can we collect cars free of charge should any problems occur.
Cars are expected to have service intervals proportional to the power increase; e.g. double the power, half the service interval.
Owners are expected to have a certain level of mechanical sympathy; abuse when cold or hot will cause excessive wear on engine parts, especially turbochargers.
We cannot guarantee any power figures that we may quote. All our tuning is completely custom and power figures can alter due to the health of the engine and other components on the vehicle. We do not chase power figures by going beyond our usual safe parameters, compromising the reliability of the engine and parts fitted.
We do not have unlimited secure parking available at our premises, so vehicles must be collected promptly. Damage caused on our site is entirely at your risk.
Darkside Developments are not liable for any recovery costs due to a break down or issue with your vehicle before or after we have worked on it.
We strongly advise all customers to have their own adequate Breakdown Cover that would include recovery to our workshop. If you require emergency recovery we can arrange this at a cost of £1 + VAT per mile + a £50 + VAT call out charge. This cost is still chargeable regardless of fault.
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to return the vehicle to our workshop in the event that any issues arise with the vehicle after tuning, service or repair, regardless of the cause or fault. The customer must transport the vehicle to our specified location for any necessary inspections, adjustments, or repairs.
Darkside Developments shall not be held liable for any consequential damages, losses, or expenses arising from the malfunction of the vehicle, including but not limited to lost time, inconvenience, or other incidental or indirect damages. The customer agrees to bear all costs associated with the transportation of the vehicle to our workshop for service.
The customer must ensure that the vehicle has been maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations including relevant cambelt changes/timing chain maintenance and that it is in full and total road worthy condition.
The customer is therefore happy to allow his/her vehicle to be remapped at his/her own personal risk thus absolving Darkside Developments of any responsibility should any failure occur.
Darkside Developments accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury incurred whilst the Remapping is in operation or at any time after.
When tuning vehicles with the DPF still in place, Darkside Developments will not be held responsible for any faults or issues related to the filter blocking up. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the vehicle is driven in a manner that allows the DPF to regenerate (Refer to owner's manual).
If any warning lights do appear you may have to force regenerate the DPF. Refer to owner's manual or follow the link below as a guide. If you are not confident in carrying out this procedure please contact a professional.

Darkside Developments reserves the right to refuse any tuning work on vehicles regardless of the expenditure / number of orders placed with ourselves.
We will NOT tune vehicles fitted with hybrid turbos / imitated / copied Darkside Developments products.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure they comply with rules and laws relating to their home country. Darkside Developments accepts no responsibility for the use of this part on the public highway where removal of emissions controls is prohibited.
Due to EU Legislation and as part of the DVSA Annual MOT inspection, if fitted at the factory, a DPF Unit must be present at the time of test.
All parts sold or work carried out by Darkside Developments related to Catalytic Converter / DPF / EGR / AdBlue Removal is deemed as for Motorsport / Off Road use only.
When booking in for work or purchasing parts it is the customer's responsibility to ensure they comply with rules and laws relating to their home country.
We will only carry out the Catalytic Converter / DPF / EGR / AdBlue Removal process if the customer has agreed that the vehicle is not going to be used on the public highway and that Darkside Developments will not be held responsible for any future actions or issues relating to the Catalytic Converter / DPF / EGR / AdBlue removal. Road test will not be carried out after the work has been completed.
Other
At Darkside Developments, we take the environment seriously and try to reduce our impact on the planet as much as possible. here are a few ways we do:
Waste Oils: Collected and used for industrial heating in a clean burn heater.
Waste Water: Collected, filtered and reused on-site.
Waste Plastics, Paper and Card: Collected and recycled by BIFFA.
Waste Metals: These are separated from non-recyclable materials, and then recycled at a local merchants.
Packaging: Where possible we use reuse packaging and boxes. We actively source used packaging locally which provides most of our packaging needs.
Invoices: We send all Customer Invoices via email to save on Paper and Toner usage.
Fitting Guides: All our fitting guides are downloadable PDFs with the links sent to customers automatically along with their Invoice.
