Description

Darkside 2.5" Stainless De-Cat Downpipe US Spec VW Passat 2.0 TDI 8v BHW

Darkside 2.5" Stainless Steel De-Cat Downpipe for US Spec Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI 8v BHW

This 2.5" Stainless Steel De-Cat Downpipe is a direct replacement for the Standard Downpipe as well as removing the Catalytic Converter (CAT) on US Spec Volkswagen Passat with the 2.0 TDI 8v BHW Engine.

Custom made in the UK, this Downpipe is fabricated in house from 2.5" Aircraft Grade 316L TIG Welded Stainless Steel.

We have designed this pipe with a slip joint to reduce down to the stock exhaust size to slot nicely into the standard system, but this can easily be removed or swapped out for a larger diameter slip joint.

The pipe is assembled in two pieces to assist with installation and has a Stainless V-Band clamp to connect the pieces together.

    Replaces Genuine VAG Part Numbers:

Our DPF Delete Pipes are generally supplied with only a Lambda Sensor Boss and sometimes an EGT boss. On most models the Pre-Turbo EGT Boss is located in the Exhaust Manifold on the Turbocharger. All other EGT and Pressure Sensors are not required when removing the DPF, leaving them in the downpipe can eventually lead to sensor failure, creating a fault in the ECU and possibly a Check Engine Light in the Instrument Cluster. With the correct DPF Delete Software, these sensors are removed entirely so they can be unplugged and removed from the car. If your tuner cannot remove these faults, the sensors should be left plugged in and tied up out of the way.

Darkside Developments accepts no responsibility for the use of this part on the public highway where removal of emissions controls is prohibited. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they comply with rules and laws relating to their home country.
