Darkside Upgraded Performance Side Mount Intercooler (SMIC) Kit for VW Golf Mk4 Platform 1.9 8v TDI PD130 ASZ & US BEW PD100

Our 51mm Alloy Pipework and Upgrade Side Mount Intercooler Kit replaces the stock restrictive plastic intercooler and rubber / plastic boost hoses which are known to crack or degrade over time causing boost leaks and a loss of power.

The welded Alloy Pipes are 51mm and fit perfectly in place of the stock turbo pipes, we have the option to supply a clip connector retaining the EGR / ASV or we can supply a 51mm / 57mm silicone to suit an EGR delete race pipe.

This intercooler is capable up to 230bhp, above this we recommend a Front Mounted Intercooler with greater airflow to keep IAT's low.

Installation Notes:

This will NOT fit the Seat Ibiza / VW Polo and Skoda Fabia please see below for the correct kit.

Vehicles fitted with skid plates / side plates may need to modify these for the bottom pipe to fit.

All the silicones included in the kit may require slight Trimming to suit your set up, These are left long to take in to consideration tolerances between cars.

Sometimes the EGR clip connector can be quite tight to push in due the tolerances we have them machined to. We have found that warming the turbo compressor housing with a heat gun helps the clip push in.
