While we were in Zandvoort for the MSV Trackday Championship we figured it would be cost effective to do 2 races in the weekend, since we were already here and set up, and we would not be getting the ferry until Monday evening. The race on Sunday was the MSV SuperCup which has very similar rules to the TDC, but free tyre choice and more aerodynamic mods are allowed. All we had to do in the Ibiza was take 10Kg of Ballast out (Forced induction requires only 20Kg in the SuperCup). You can read abou
Round 5 of the MSV Trackday Championship was back at our favourite track, Donington. You can read about it here.
This time, Round 6 was the international round, at the newly announced F1 2020 Circuit Zandvoort. Right on the beach in North Holland, the circuit hosted the F1 from the 1950s all the way up to 1985, so there are parts of the track that are nowhere near the safety level of the modern GP Circuits!
The most straightforward route for us was to drive from Darkside HQ to Hull, which
Round 4 of the MSV Trackday Championship took us back to Brands Hatch on the excellent GP Layout. You can read about it here.
Round 5 was supposed to be on the GP Layout at Donington, but due to an issue with the number of marshals, the event was switched back to the usual National configuration, one we were victorious at in the first race of the season.
The layout is below:
So with the last minute change from the GP to National layout, our testing on the Monday before was thrown out
So its been a while since the last A5 video due to other projects but you'll be glad to know we are still working on this project slowly but surely!
Check out UPDATE of our Vlog below:
And then, not a massive update, but our new, bigger big turbo has arrived, so we talk through the specs and run the car up on the Dyno before we start to rip it to bits again.

Round 3 of the MSV Trackday Championship was a VERY wet Oulton Park, where we finished 1st in Class! You can read about it here. We then had a go in the MSV Trackday Trophy on the Silverstone GP Circuit, which you can read about here. Spoiler alert, we finished 2nd after getting our first ever Pole Position!
Round 4 was supposed to be on the Silverstone National Circuit, but with the resurfacing before the British F1 and Moto GP rounds, it was moved to Brands Hatch, on the GP Circuit that is

We had a great result in the TDC at a very wet Oulton Park, which you can read about it here. Round 5 of the MSV Trackday Trophy, brought us to Silverstone, on the iconic GP Circuit, the same as you see the Formula 1 and Moto GP at. Unfortunately we won't be lapping anywhere near as quick as them!
As it is a World Class circuit, we get detailed analysis of sector times and speeds. Sector 1 takes us fro
We’re looking for one of our fans to design a slick race livery our new Golf MK5.5 ex VW Cup Car that will be replacing our Seat Ibiza in next years MSV Trackday Trophy and Championship season!
The chosen winner will receive a Darkside Developments Merchandise Pack as well as the opportunity of joining us on one of many track days for Passenger Rides in the car. The winning designer may also have their own company logo or 'Designed by YOUR NAME' on the vehicle design.
Round 2 of the MSV Trackday Championship, took us to Snetterton, a weekend we would rather forget. You can read about it here. With all the issues sorted, we decided to take the car for a shakedown at Oulton Park on the 2nd July, in preparation for the race there on the 27th July. I managed a 1:59.76 lap, which would have put us close to the front, based on the 2018 lap times.
There was supposed to be a test day on the Friday before the race, but this was switched to a regular open pit lane
When Davy @ DRIVEN Automotive Media organised the Performance German Day, he asked if we were interested, who says no to a well organised trackday on a sunny weekend?
We decided to take almost all the crew down, as well as as many cars we could physically get there and have a good time!
We have made a little montage of the days exploits. With only 12 cars at a time allowed on track, there were few battles to be had, but we still had a great time pushing the cars to (and beyond) the limit.
