Fuel Pump Cam Follower for EA113 2.0 TFSI Petrol Engines
Replacement Cam Follower for High Pressure Fuel Pump on EA113 2.0 TFSI Petrol Engines The high pressure fuel pump in the EA113 engines can be affected by excessive wear of the cam lobe and the follower that drive the pump. The factory solution was to increase the hardening of the cam lobe and as of 2006 all EA113 engines had harder cam lobes This issue is found on both tuned / modified and stock engines, affecting not only the OE fuel pumps, but aftermarket and upgraded ones too. Driving the vehicle at high RPM and aggressivley can caused the issue to become rapidly worse. An inspection of the cam follower is advised to be taken place every 10,000 miles on vehicles that aren't aggressively driven, and half that on those that are.Fitment Data
