Garrett GT1749VB (ARL PD150) VNT17 Turbocharger Upgrade with Modified Outlet for 1.9 PD100/115 & VE90/110 8v TDI Diesel Engines

The Garrett GT1749VB is originally from the 1.9 8v TDI PD150 ARL engine found in the Mk4 Golf, Bora, Leon and Toledo. We have modified the stock Garrett unit, changing the compressor cover outlet to a straight fitting without clip and the actuator setting.

With these modifications made this turbo can now be bolted onto the 1.9 TDI engines listed below, along with supporting parts this turbo will be capable of pushing 190bhp.

Installation:

Once fitted to the below vehicle you will need a custom remap to suit. To acheive the potential of the turbo you will need to upgrade the Injectors / Nozzles to suit.

The OE EGR Cooler has to be removed when installing this turbo.

When fitting this turbocharger to MK2 / MK3 Golf / Caddy Platform (VNT Turbo Models) Vehicles, you will require a Custom VNT Rear Engine Mount.

This can be also be fitted MK2 / MK3 Golf / Caddy Platform (Wastegate Turbo Models), we would advise that you carry out the research on how to convert the Wastegate to VNT before purchasing. You may also require:
