The High Performance Pagid RS29 Pads are one of the best we have tested on our track cars, however, when running these on the rear of our Ibiza track car, we noticed due to the higher friction characteristics this pad has, it locked up the rear brakes on the vehicle. This is where the RS42 pads are an excellent upgrade.

The RS42 pads have a slightly lower friction characteristic, but can cope with extremely high temperatures, making them great for the rear of 2wd cars when there isn't much weight towards the back end of the vehicle.

We did try putting cheap rear brake pads on the vehicle but we found due to the high temperatures encountered, they did not cope very well, causing a very strange pedal feel and near enough melting the brake pad material.

We recommend the RS29 for 4WD / Quattro vehicles and the RS42 for FWD Vehicles
