Vibra Technics Uprated Front Engine Mount for VAG Mk3 Golf Platform Vehicles

These mounts are an upgrade and direct replacement for the standard mounts on the which are prone for becoming very lose or even failing, especially under high loads.

The Golf's front mount absorbs a large share of both acceleration and overrun torque, while also supporting part of the powertrain's weight. The original VW design was always a compromise. This Vibra-Technics mount is a direct replacement but dramatically reduces engine movement. As a result, the engine no longer rocks back and forth under sudden throttle changes, giving the car a much tighter, more controlled feel. Exhaust manifolds are spared from excessive bending stresses, and noise and vibration levels inside the cabin remain only marginally higher. Compared with lower-grade aftermarket urethane mounts, this design offers far superior comfort and isolation from engine vibration.

Road vs. Competition Mounts:

Similar to the VAG940M, but approximately three times stiffer designed for competition use where higher load capacity is essential and comfort is a low priority. Suitable for all engine variants in the Mk3 and Corrado platform.
