Brands Hatch GP - ClubEnduro - 750MC - 19th May 2024
Another day and another circuit! We had an almost perfect Saturday (just needed Ryan to keep P2!), so we were hoping for the same on Sunday. The guys stayed at Silverstone until around 8pm as we had the garage to prepare the cars, and luckily there was not too much to do as it was a pretty clean race. They then headed to Brand Hatch, which took around 2.5hrs at 56mph and managed to squeeze into a space in the outer paddock, where we would work from for the rest of the weekend.
After driving on h

Silverstone National - Roadsports - 750MC - 18th May 2024
So the first race weekend of the 2024 season is behind us. Had we left Croft on Saturday, it would have been on a high. Pole Position, Fastest Lap, Lap Record and top step of the podium for me in the TTDI Sequential, and Ryan with a 3rd place (so close to 2nd) in the Manual car for the RoadSports race, it was a dream start.
It all fell apart in the Club Enduro Championship race. I had shifter issues putting me out from ~30s in the lead, and at the same time the dodgy BGA Head gasket gave way wh

Cadwell - TimeAttack - 6th May 2024
With only a few weeks since our racing at Croft and Adam's venture into TimeAttack at Anglesey, we were back for R3 at Cadwell Park.
With no clashes this time, I was in the driving seat and decided to bring my TT (converted to Manual due to some issues that are being resolved with the Sequential Gearbox) to race in the Club 2WD class. The RS3 had been moved out of that Class because it's speed was closer to the Club Pro cars on Saturday, but as you will have read in the previous blog, that all c

Anglesey - TimeAttack - 20th - 21st April 2024
On the same weekend of the opening round of the 750MC
RoadSports and Club Enduro Championship races at Croft, it was the first 2 rounds of the TimeAttack all the way West at Anglesey.
As mentioned in the Croft Blog, the ones that clash, we plan to send our friend Adam Blair, to get some points on the board. He would be supported by Rob, Tom B and Tom G while they get to grips with the format and see how the car performs.
To be competitive, the RS3 needs a bit more power, so the TFSI we pulled

Croft - Roadsports & ClubEnduro - 750MC - 19th - 21st April 2024
2024, a new year and a new racing season for us! For me it also time for a new race car. The Golf has been sold to Grant and Michael of FR Racing (who bought our Trackday Championship winning Ibiza back in 2020) and they plan to run it with us in the 750MC
RoadSports when they can (first round for them will be R2 at Silverstone in May).
The only logical choice for me was to get the other TT converted from the TFSI motor to a diesel, the same as Ryan's, and move up to Class A. This means I am g

Silverstone GP - ClubEnduro - 750MC - 29th October 2023
An unusual calendar for 2023 meant that round 7, the final round of the season for the 750MC Club Enduro would be on the Sunday AFTER the 6hr Birkett relay. Normally, we would not have risked using any of our championship cars in the race on the previous day, however, with the TTDI no longer in contention for the top 3 spots, and the Golf having already sealed it at the previous round, we used the Golf for as much as possible, with the TT as a backup.
The guys had to do a quick reprep after the

750MC Birkett Relay - Silverstone GP - 28th October 2023
With a hectic season of racing almost to a close, we were back at Silverstone for the 750 Motor Club Birkett 6 Hour Relay Race. The event takes place every year at the end of October on the GP Circuit. You can read about our exploits in the race last year by clicking the link below. In 2022 we pushed the Golf to do 95 laps, which was over 4:15 of racing flat out. The year before it did 86. The plan this year was to try and go for even longer, with as close to 3hrs in the first stint, and a seco

Snetterton 300 - BRSCC TTCR - 13th-15th October 2023
For Round 6 of the BRSCC Audi TT Cup Racing, we were at Croft, which turned out to be VERY eventful! You can read about it below. We were then back to Snetterton for another triple header on the 300 Circuit. This would be the last round of the season, and thankfully the last round on Nankang NS-2Rs as the serious announced the move to Direzza since the series will be following the TCR UK Championship, which are supported by Goodyear (who own Dunlop - yes it's confusing!).
It will also possibly

Silverstone International - BRSCC ClubSport Trophy - 8th October 2023
With a load of 750MC Club Enduro and RoadSports races done, it was time for another BRSCC ClubSport Trophy race in my TT before the last TTCR Round at Snetterton.
Luke Handley was supposed to be joining me again but was away on holiday, however Andrew Dyer and Ross Makar brought their cars. I am using Yokohama A052 Tyres instead of the TTCR spec Nankang NS-2Rs, Dyer was sticking to the Direzza (that will be the mandatory tyres for next season) and Makar was on Yokohama A052s like me, albeit 225/
