Vibra Technics Uprated Front Engine Mounting for Mk3 Golf Platform

The Mk3 Golf front engine mount reacts a large proportion of the accelaration and overrun torque and has to carry a proportion of the powertrain weight.

This Vibra-Technics design is a direct replacement for the original but allows only a fraction of the engine movement compared to the original.

Therefore there is none of the engine inertia forces throwing the engine back and forwards under throttle on and off conditions.

The vehicle has a much 'tighter' feel and exhaust manifolds are not subject to high bending stress. In addition the level of noise and vibration transmitted through the cabin is not greatly increased.

Engine Mount Options:

VAG940M - Road Mount for 4 Cylinder Engines

VAG960MX - Competition Mount for 4 Cylinder Engines

VAG950M - VR6 Specific Mounting

Road Mounts are more suited to Fast Road applications, whereas the competition mounts are suited for Race / Track applications

Competition Mount:

Approximately 3 times as stiff as the Road Mount. For competition use where loads are higher and comfort is low priority.
